Shelly Shoemaker

Shelly is a native Idahoan, born and raised in the Boise area. The Wood River Valley is now her home. After a successful legal assistant career, Shelly moved to the Wood River Valley in 1989 to work for a nonprofit organization that provided her with experience in the areas of fundraising, land protection and conservation.

When she obtained her real estate sales license in 1994, she knew she had found her calling with helping others with their real estate needs. She soon became a licensed Real Estate Broker (1996) and opened her own real estate company. She also earned the professional designation of GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute). In 2001 she earned the prestigious CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) Designation, one of the most prestigious awarded by the National Association of Realtors.

Shelly was elected to our local Sun Valley Board of Realtors as a Director and Instructor for the New Member Orientation class in 2005. In 2008, Shelly was one of 12 applicants accepted to attend the Idaho Leadership Academy, a statewide leadership training sponsored by the Idaho Association of Realtors. For many years, Shelly has served as a member of the Idaho Professional Standards Committee on behalf of the State.

Over the years, Shelly has continued to expand her teaching certifications to include numerous continuing education classes for Realtors. Real estate is an ever changing profession, and Shelly strives to maintain the highest degree of knowledge in order to best serve her clients.
